Fissile material VS Fertile material - Reactor Design

fissile material VS fertile material

There are fissonable materials.

  1. fissile material : fission
  2. fertile material : capture a neutron and decay(convert) to fissile material

In addition,
even number of atomic mass: stable(since the atoms are pair )
odd number of atomic mass: unstable(since the there is one odd atom is ready to therefore it occurs fission)
